What to say? Well, I'm in my mid-20s, my first name may be Andy, I love the Foo Fighters, and I also wear pants. Intrigued? Then read on....
I studied Film at university, but currently work in anything but. A wonderful advert for uni education I am. I live in the good old north of England and have done all my life, though a big ambition of mine is to drive across America at some stage. Though the first ambition should prob be to actually learn to drive first.
One of the main reasons I got into using the net (and prob the big reason I'm on it so much) was to search for sites relating to shyness or social anxiety. I've been shy my whole life, and through various ups and downs, I've largely become comfortable with who I am. Yes I am quiet, introverted, introspective, although I have very rare bouts of loudness much to my own (and others') surprise. But for the most part, I'm happy with who I am and don't judge myself by others' standards as much as I used to.
Anxiety still plays a major part in my life tho, and I suspect always will. I have a tendency to completely over-think a given situation to the point of inducing splitting headaches, and worry myself sick about having to talk to a certain person, and afterwards, beat myself up over worrying so much about such an everyday task.
Yes I do long to be in my little solitary space a lot of the time, but I don't want to let go of the outside world. Well, not just yet.
Enough of the psychological problems. I don't even know if this stuff is meant to go here. Ho-hum....
As is probably obvious, I love watching all kinds of films, all-time favs including Rear Window, Halloween, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, and oodles of others that I can't think of.
Music: I'll give virtually anything a go. In the main tho, my musical musings revolve around stuff like the Foos, Muse, Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, The Killers. All-time favs: The Beatles and Crowded House.
Books: Whatever I can get my hands on. Nick Hornby, Douglas Coupland, Anthony Storr (esp. his collection of Carl Jung's work, and also his book 'Solitude'-how dull does that sound...), and tons of Film and Media-related gubbins I won't bore you, me, or that other bloke with.
